This Mini Me

I'm thankful to have a daughter who acts just like I did when I was her age.

Meici loves being annoying. She is constantly talking or singing or meowing.
I was just like that.
But when I was a kid I got a lot of "Mary, can you just STOP MAKING NOISE FOR FIVE MINUTES?!!"
But Meici gets a lot of me conversing, singing and meowing back with her.

Meici always has a messy face and tangled hair. She can make a mess eating anything. Give her a single grape and somehow she'll end up all sticky.
If you look at pictures of me when I was little you'd think, whoa, since when do wolves know how to use cameras?
But instead of getting a lot of dirty looks from her family and hearing things like, "You're so disgusting!" and having a dramatic episode of my mom making her eat spaghetti properly (like with a spoon and fork and twirling) and her just crying and screaming, "I CAN'T DO THIS! IT'S TOO HARD! I HATE YOOOOOOU!" I just let Meici take her shirt off and go at it.

She loves teasing people, especially Evan. She will just follow him around and bug the crap out of him. She loves making him upset. Then she cries when he hits or pushes her away and is even happier when she sees him get in trouble.

She's really proud and always has to get the last word even if it's just under her breath, she HAS to say it.

Sometimes, when Meici is being particularly naughty or obnoxious. Zi just looks at me and says, "Now I know why your parents didn't like you."

And then I kick him in the gut.

I love that girl and wouldn't change her a bit.

Sounds like you defeat the purpose of having a kid just like you. Usually, parents take great joy in their kids getting kids to drive them crazy as well...and you just appreicate it. Way to ruin the cycle.

I knew I liked Meici when I met her, and now I know why everything she did seemed oddly familiar.

I sure hope all your love and acceptance won't prevent her from growing up to be as funny and wonderful as you.

I use two knives to cut my spaghetti into fork sized pieces. And I'm in my 40's. Who wants to twirl? Never could figure that out.
