This Baby's Name

I'm thankful my kids have such amazing parents who always keep their promises.

I told Evan that if the new baby is a boy, then he gets to name him. I won't go back on my word even though Evan is pretty determined to name his little brother Popeye, that's fine. We'll just call him by the middle name Meici chose, Carlos.

Popeye Carlos Tong, sounds like an astronaut's name.

And just to show Evan that we respect his decision, we purchased our first baby item for little Popeye.

Ha ha! That's great! My boys named their little sister, but here's a tip that worked for us: Matt and I came up with a list of our 10 favorite names, gave it to the boys and let them each choose their favorite. They became her first and middle names.

But Popeye Carlos Tong sounds awesome, so you may want to stick with that. :)

I guess Hitler was already taken, so that should be good.

I just Googled Popeye Carlos Tong, and your post was the first result. Your baby should find it very easy to find himself!

The name sounds perfect if he's born the day before his due date.

I vote for breaking promises. Or try Stephanie's idea.

You are brave indeed to let the kids name the new baby. That could be a lot of fun.

Couldn't be any worse then Michael Jackson calling his son Blanket.

But I think the name covers a lot of ethnic cultures.....would make for a well rounded boy.

and I have a question for you....ARE you the same MARY that blogged sometime ago, that I used to visit your site, and then poof, you said the kids ruined your computer and other issues and you stopped??
Are you???
and if NOT.....just chalk me up to a crazy lady. Very Very crazy

What kid would not want to be called Popeye. Brilliant.

Also-that "pregbar" is creepy.
