we promised we wouldn't get each other anything for valentine's day

Valentine's Day isn't a very big deal for my husband and me; we believe everyday should be a celebration of our love!

We don't buy each other chocolates or flowers, or make naughty coupon books, or say things like "Happy Valentine's Day!" or "I Love You!" Most Valentines Days we don't even make eye contact.

So imagine my surprise while I was sitting on the couch, minding my own business, when my husband hands this to me and says "Happy Valentine's Day, Sweetheart."

A glass of water with ice hearts!
I know~ how ADORABLE!
Sure, about 45 seconds before he brought it to me, I had asked him to get me a drink of ice water, and yes, the only ice trays we have are heart-shaped, but still... you gotta admit that's pretty... I don't know... sumthin.
Sigh...

Maybe next year he'll wash me an apple.
Hope all of you have a Valentine's Day full of ice cold hearts, like I did.

Now I really wish I had bought those heart shaped ice cube trays. We only have square ice at our house.

It's hard to top the exciting Valentines around here, but you and your Romeo did it.

Mary, yours is one of the few blogs I actually laugh out loud reading.

I hope you mean it to be funny. ;)

I really do hope he washes that apple for you next year, because it's hard to top ice cold hearts.

(I had a hard time knowing what to say here because I love Valentine's Day (not just for the romanticky stuff but for sweets and homemade cards and all that) so I hope you genuinely don't care about Valentine's Day, because otherwise I'm kind of sad for yours.)

LOL, too funny. I want heart ice cubes too! The only thing I'm worried about....do you normally go through each day with barely making eye contact? Just kinda sad. ;)
