And what an appropriate shirt to be wearing while eating those!
So, good news! I know in your last post you said the blog is just for your family now. But I've been doing loads and loads of genealogy (along with keeping my apartment spotlessly clean and cooking gourmet meals) and just discovered we're actually cousins.
Not on your dad's side.
So I can totally keep reading your blog! Which is a good thing, because I missed you, and I'm so glad you're settling in and everyone is well ; )
Wait a second...shouldn't your shirt be in Chinese? Won't you get filtered or whatever if you go outside? I'm not totally buying that you are in China...waiting for more proof ;) Show us your bathroom.
um, I still remember the bowl of delicious chicken feet soup that I couldn't bring myself to dispose of... so I just left it in my fridge. whatever happened to it I wonder?
One of my most memorable dishes in Argentina was chicken foot casserole. So happy you can create so many memories too. But not nearly as happy as I was when I saw you were back online yesterday. Welcome back, *mary*, you've been missed.
I don't know how I missed MOnday's post, but I'm really glad to see that you're still alive and clucking...sorry...kicking. China looks as much like a chicken as Italy looks like a boot -- now I want to play the "What shape is your geography?" game all night long!
Good luck with the chicken legs. Do you have any ketchup over there?
Thanks for posting. You're still celver as ever. I'm sorry we didn't get to see you before you left. Evan's handsome as ever and Meici looks so cute with her little back-pack.
I totally remember those!!!!!!!! This friend of ours bought some and tied them to a string and hung them from our front door. SIIIIIIIIIICK!!!! I never actually ate them though, but saw them everywhere!
you planned this with your rooster soft or saft or whatever it says t shirt. Maybe because it's shaped like a chicken with it's feet cut off china makes you cut off every chickens feet because then they are much more patriotic that way. Maybe?

Mm! Save me some. OK?
i may never look at china (or you) the same again. ewwwww.......
Yum!!
Why on earth did you find a chicken foot. You don't really eat those do you???? I'm getting queasy. Chicken feet....Really???
Very few "food" items scare me. I'm willing to eat just about anything.
Those scare the crap out of me.
Chicken feet. Now there's something I haven't seen on the menu at KFC.
I bet they're kind of chewy.
The Rooster Soft 11? That t-shirt is so last year.
Ummmm... GROSS! How does that taste, just out of curiousity?
I have actually eaten chicken feet... but surprisingly that was not when I was in China, it was Trinidad... they like chicken feet there too.
Good to see you!
We ate at a chinese restaurant in San Franciso, where two menu items were, "chicken paws:hot, chicken paws:cold"
Were yours hot or cold?
Ewww!
I am gagging and just threw up a little in my mouth.
BUT--I still adore you!!
I have to admit, chicken feet was one of the few things I could not bring myself to eat when I was there. I did eat pig's feet though...

love the shirt.
Hmmmm... so I was right about the push-up thing I see... On the flip side, gross.
Not even going to lie.
Gross. Did you really eat that?
Please tell me you're not really going to eat that. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.
Yuck.

So happy to see you again Mary! Can't wait to hear all about the interesting and crazy antics you certainly will get into in china! Missed you.

All the years of looking at maps of China and I never saw the chicken.... You are right though.
Angie, what does celver mean?
yaaay, i'm excited for more posts!

Hi~! You're back on blogging! Yay! I can't wait to read about your life in China. I'm working hard so I can visit you guys someday for free!
So good to see you back in action!!! So, that's all you love about CHina?
Google Reader said I would like you. Google is way smart, and right. I DO like you. I promise to comment on your blog each time you make me laugh.
So glad you're back to blogging and are safe and sound behind the bamboo curtain.
Can't wait to hear about your new adventures.
I called China and asked for you. The operator only spoke Chinese...
After 20 minutes I gave up.
Magic 8 ball said "try again later".
So funny...
We went to a funeral of a dear friend of ours, and the Chinese banquet afterward. Great tradition! My very irreverent husband, however, found the chicken heads and feet on the platter to be trés amusing, and proceeded to perform a puppet show for everyone at the table...with chicken heads on chopsticks.
You might not want to invite us over...
So, what else do you love about China?
Do you love how they block your blog?
